About Us
Who We Are
The Tungsten Tigers were founded in the 2021 season as Blue Valley High School's FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team. Our team is organized into three sub-teams — programming, hardware, and documentation — each led by team captains. We are supported by two coaches and one mentor.
We meet daily in our head coach's classroom, with dedicated practice space and a testing field for our robot. Our team environment fosters collaboration, innovation, and a shared passion for STEM.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to develop competitive robots while providing STEM education opportunities. We aim to connect with our community and encourage youth involvement in technology and engineering — all while having fun along the way.
